A major fire broke out at the Plastic Industry Distribution Center in Canoas, a city in southern Brazil, this Wednesday (6)
The site is located near the Leonardo da Vinci School — Gama, which according to the Fire Department, was not affected by the fire. An employee of a company near the fire’s origin reported that the fire started around 2 pm.

According to firefighters, all students were evacuated from the school
Firefighters are on the scene. Captain Julia Calgaro stated that the operation “is in the phase of cooling down”
Residents of the area were alarmed by the intensity of the fire and the toxic smoke from the burning plastics.
